Another hosting provider hosts my site. Can I acquire the certificate in N HOST BD?
Yes. When the site is hosted on N HOST BD, the installation of the SSL certificate is free and in charge of our company’s technicians. On the other hand, if another hosting provider hosts the site, the installation and the cost of it is the responsibility of the provider that the user has.
Does the SSL certificate protect only one domain?
If you contract an SSL Certificate for nhostbd.com, SSL will only protect that domain in its versions www.yourdomain.com. It will not affect yourdomain.com.
If you need to protect several sub-domains (Example: nhostbd.com, app.yourdomain.com, downloads.nhostbd.com, etc.), you must hire a Wildcard type certificate.
Does it protect all the content of my website?
Yes. All content that is under the domain for which the SSL certificate was contracted, including internal folders. For example https://yourdomain.com/logo.png and https://yourdomain.com/archive/index.html.
Do I have to acquire 2 SSL certificates if I have to protect the domain with and without WWW?
DO NOT. When you sign up for an SSL certificate such as Thawte 123 or Rapid SSL, you must contract it for www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com will also be included in the protection.
